Final shot list-

Shot one: The video will open in black and white with a generic opening of a silent film (a telescopic shot)
Shot two: This opens to a highly saturated shot which will be of a young girl sitting in the middle of a table playing with toys from a little wooden box. (this will be set in a garden/field)
Shot three: Cut to a close up of inside the box from the young girls point of view
Shot four: Cut to a telescopic shot of a man with a rabbit animal mask on- a low angle tilt of him.
Shot five: Cut to the young girl sitting on the table again looking surprised-behind her will be one of the animal masks (the cat) lurking behind her in the trees.
Shot six: Cut to a tracking shot of the young girl running through a field
Shot seven: Cut to a close up shot of the young girl laying down on the field looking up to the sky-and suddenly the masked man (rabbit mask) will appear looking over her.
Shot eight:Cut to a low angle shot of the young girl walking over a bridge - (possibly a tracking shot)
Shot nine: Cut to a high angle shot of her stepping foot into the city
Shot ten: Cut to a low angle point of view shot of the big shops
Shot eleven: Cut to a

POTENTIAL ENDINGS- (We have decided to film a number of different endings in order to see which one works the best when editing.)

-When the girl (Annie) returns to the table at the end of the video she could try to put the toys back in the box which then clearly fails when one of the masked men appears looming over her in a menace way. - She can never fully escape from the masked creatures.
-OR... the girl could be shown wearing the mask on the table and toys could have swapped roles and could now be controlling her instead of her controlling them.
-Our main character could be struggling to get the toys back into the box trying as hard as she can to escape from them but looks up after pushing them into the box to see a low angle tilt shot of one of the masked creatures- looking menacing.

Particular shots to include
-low angle tilts of the masked men- making them appear bigger + intensifying fear
-high angle shots of young girl at the beginning of the video- making her seem small compared to the masked men and the big world around her.
-close up shots of particular features- (shoes, facial expressions, the mask's)
-low angle shots of the big buildings around her- making them seem huge
- When editing cross dissolves will be used for the transitions as it will create the idea of their being a confusion between illusion and reality as well as giving the video a dream like feel.

  1. A strong element of your music video is the notion of illusion/dream and reality, thus referencing Alice's adventures. Also the idea of Pandora's Box comes to mind. A shot of the girl sleeping dissolving into an action shot could suggest this.
It may be effective to end your music video on an ambiguous image, for example the young girl pushes the dolls back into the box with difficulty, looks up and there is a transition to a tilt low angle shots of the rabbit (Alice small in comparison or low angle shot of Alice making rabbit looks small in comparison) watching the girl.

The idea of the White Rabbit's fan is fun, and at the table you could have a bottle which the girl drinks from...lots to think about here re props as well....of course the bottle could be unmarked and an intertextual reference for those in the know and thus making some of the audience feel clever. Tarantino does this all the time, one could say your music video would be post modern!
